The newest children’s playground at KAUST is now open!
Safety Town Playground is designed to have a real-life, small-town feel. This playground provides lots of space to ride bikes, play, and learn about road safety. It includes road markings on a rubberized ground, traffic signs, and high-quality play equipment.
The playground also features shaded areas to protect your little ones on sunny days and solar-powered lighting so the fun can continue even after the sun goes down.
Safety Town is located in the Gardens Neighborhood at the intersection of Gazelle Lane and Raspberry Lane in Thuwal Garden Park. Here’s a map.

As announced previously, two more new playgrounds are coming soon to KAUST. Construction at the skate park playground near the Racquet Club has recently begun, making parts of the existing playground unavailable for the coming period. However, Safety Town is a 2-minute walk and the skate ramp area will remain available throughout the construction period. Construction is anticipated to take the rest of 2020 - we’re looking forward to welcoming you there soon!
