This superb facility is the perfect place for those seeking an increasingly active lifestyle as it is packed full of new gym equipment. Alternatively it is the ideal environment in which to unwind and socialize after a busy day whilst watching the sun set.

Its fabulous location overlooking the stunning aquamarine waters of the Red Sea, the Island Recreation Club, is set in the heart of the residential community of Safaa Island and it offers something different, be it the infinity pool with its magnificent view overlooking the sea, the beachside sand volleyball court, the fun Playland or the two large outdoor pavilions that are great for private functions such as team buildings, birthday parties, anniversaries and more.

Update: Please note that the Climbing Wall will be closed on Friday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for route setting.

Gym & Studio Rules

Male and Female Gym

Both gyms are equipped with a wide range of Matrix Strength machines. We can take care of all your fitness needs with excellent staff and a wide variety of programs.

Swimming Pools

The Island Recreation Club pools both heated in the winter and chilled in the summer.

They include the Ocean View Pool, designed for the less serious swimmer who just wants to relax, cool off and enjoy the setting, rather than putting in the hard lengths.

IRC Deli Cafe

The Island Club Cafe offers a lighter side to your dining experience. With breathtaking views of the Red Sea the cafe is open for morning breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Climbing Wall

Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls.

The goal is to reach the summit of a formation or the endpoint of a pre-defined route without falling.

Playland

Let your children experience the fun of indoor soft play area. The Island Recreation Club Playland area will give your kids hours of fun.

Let them climb and crawl, slide and scramble while making new friends in a fun and safe environment.

Sports Arena

The sports arena features a fully wooden floor, specillay designed for basketball, netball, 5-a-side football and volleyball.

Tennis

Located alongside the beach are eight hard surfaced tennis courts. The department offers various classes for each racquet sport.

Outdoor Volleyball

Island Recreation Club offers an outdoor volleyball court. It has fine white sand a perfect view of the sea that you and your friends will enjoy!

Fitness Studio

Working out in a group gives you the confidence and support you need to unleash yourself. With a variety of different activities and personal trainings, you will surely enjoy the studio with a view of the pool area.
