The beloved and colorful KAUST Fun Run is back! The 5K and 10K Fun Run will be held on Friday, March 25 around the Island neighborhood.

Spectators

All spectators are welcome to join us, support, and warmly cheer on the sprinters. The finish line will be doused in colored powder, be expected to get a bit messy. To enjoy the colors to the fullest, we encourage you to wear white clothes.

Recreational Runners

All families are invited to participate in the run! So bring your kids, buggies if necessary and make this event even more fun. Following the racers, you will start your journey at 8:15 A.M. There are no age limits or registration requirements. Yet, we need you to have great fun and be at the finish line before the winner's announcement.

Race participants

The numbers will be given only to the pre-registered participants that are qualified in the below categories:

• 10KM for 16 years old and above:  2 laps of 5km distance (Time Trial Format)
• 5KM for 16 years old and above: 1 lap of 5km distance (Time Trial Format)
• 5KM for 12 to 16 years old: 1 lap of 5km distance (Time Trial Format)
  
  

Viewing times and locations
The run will start from Transformation Boulevard, near house number I-570X, and finish at the Island Recreation Club parking lot.

5km Run Route (two times the distance for the 10km route)

Times:

• 7:30 A.M. on-site registration and numeration to the pre-registered race participants
• 8:00 A.M. start of the run for the 10K category
• 8:10 A.M. start of the run for the two categories of 5K
• 8:15 A.M. start of the recreational runners
• 9:30 A.M. the winner’s announcement 

Run racers and volunteers

We are still accepting bookings for run racers and there is plenty of room for volunteers to make this event even more fun. Visit our separate registration announcement to learn more about running and volunteering.
