Eid operating hours and restaurant specials

Eid Mubarak! This year’s Eid al-Adha break runs from July 16 to 24. Some Community Life areas offer special promotions and operate with adjusted hours during this holiday period.
In general, our facilities and services run on their regular schedule during Eid. Exceptions are listed below. This information is updated regularly, so please check back often.

 

KAUST Health

As always, 911 emergency response and the Emergency Department operate 24/7. The clinic is closed from July 19 until July 22, resuming normal opening hours on Sunday, July 25. Learn more.

 

Transportation  

There will be no Work Haul Bus or Jeddah Medical buses during Eid. Effective July 25, the medical bus will be riding out again. Please check the bus services page for the current schedule.

 

Child Care Services

All Child Care Services are closed during the Eid break. Summer Camp and Daycare will continue on Sunday, July 25.

 

Pet Services

The vet clinic is closed during the Eid break. Regular opening hours will be resumed on Sunday, July 25.

 

Postal Services

Mail and Courier services are closed from Monday, July 19 until Friday, July 23. Resuming regular office hours on Saturday, July 24. 

Last day for outbound shipments are as follows:
- Domestic: July 15th (can be delivered up to July 18)
- International: July 18th (can be loaded for export until July 18)

 

Retail and restaurants

Some restaurants and retailers are offering special promotions listed below. All food and retail outlets are operating on their regular working hours, except:  
•    Al Marsa: 1st to 3rd day of Eid 8:00 A.M. - 11:00 P.M. and 12 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Otherwise operating normal hours. Enjoy their Eid breakfast buffet and the Eid lunch set menu as well as their special platters.
•    Pure, 10th Hole, Al Fresco, and Steak Seven: Enjoy their special Eid discount offer on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd day of Eid.
•    Halwani Cuisine: July 20 from 4:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Otherwise operating normal hours.
•    Lion’s Share: Closed from Tuesday, July 20 until Monday, July 25. Resuming normal hours on Tuesday, July 26.
•    The Great American Bagel Bakery: Closed from Friday, July 16 until Saturday, July 24. Resuming normal hours on Sunday, July 25.
•    Dia’s café: Closed from Friday, July 16 until Saturday, July 24. Resuming normal hours on Sunday, July 25.
•    Subway: Closed from Monday, July 19 until Saturday, July 24. Resuming normal hours on Sunday, July 25.
•    Campus Diner: Enjoy their special Eid breakfast and lunch buffet on the 1st day of Eid.
•    Giordano: July 19 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., July 20-21 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., July 22 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Otherwise operating normal hours.
•    SNB (formerly Samba): Closed from Sunday, July 18 until Saturday, July 24. Resuming regular office hours on Sunday, July 25.  
•    SABB: Closed from Sunday, July 18 until Saturday, July 24. Resuming regular office hours on Sunday, July 25.
•    Dunya Al Asfour Beauty Salon & Barber Shop: Closed on Tuesday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 21. Resuming normal hours on Thursday, July 22.
•    Banaweer: Closed from Monday, July 18 until Friday, July 23. Resuming normal hours on Saturday, July 24.
•    Kanoo Travel Office: Closed from Friday, July 16 until Saturday, July 24. Resuming regular office hours on Sunday, July 25.
