Non-golfing events

Safaa Golf Club is not just a place to play golf but also an environment where the community can come and experience different outdoor activities with family and friends.

Below are the different activities we host at the golf club:

Bird watching

Bird watching is done in groups of people where they can observe the different birds in their natural habitat at the golf course.
The golf club organizes some bird watching activities throughout the year and always encourages the community to come and visit with friends & family.

The beehives

Currently, there are two beehives located in a safe environment at the golf club where children and people of the community can observe how bees interact in their habitat. These benefit the natural health of the golf course, its greenery, and the ecosystem of KAUST. There are also 10 insect hotels.

Team building

Safaa golf club is an ideal place for different departments in KAUST to use the facilities for team building and department gatherings. Throughout the years the golf club has always provided different golfing and non-golfing activities to ensure as much fun during those events.

Department gatherings & dinners

Safaa Golf Club is the perfect venue for corporate events of all kinds. We can provide indoor and outdoor dining, private meeting rooms, and informal leisure spaces.

Outdoor events

The golf club has lovely landscapes and features where the community can make the most out by organizing with different catering services inside of KAUST for outdoor events. These events are very relaxing and can even be implemented with different activities & catering services.

Mini golf

The mini golf is one of the most common golfing activities where non golfers and golfers can use to spend time with friends and families. This activity is free of charge and only requires booking to be done in advance.

Footgolf course hire

Footgolf is a very popular fun activity for all ages. Players try to kick a football into a cup in as few shots as possible. The game combines the skills of football and golf sports.

Sunday walks

Sunday afternoons are reserved for community members to enjoy walking, jogging and general exploration. There is a bird hut overlooking one of the lakes, where many diverse species may be observed.
