The community garden is a place where community members can grow their own flowers/produce, meet up with other gardeners from the community to share ideas and experiences… and take some time out to 'get back to nature. The community garden is a pesticide-free, organic environment, and the gardeners use sustainable ways to grow their produce.
Users of the community garden can rent one (or more) plots and can have fun experimenting with which crops will thrive in the soil and weather conditions we have at KAUST. Plot tenants have access to a shed and shared tools, water hose, composting, etc. Also, the experience and advice of fellow gardeners.
