Autonomous Shuttles

KAUST community members and visitors are invited to experience the future of transportation innovation by using Saudi Arabia’s first autonomous shuttles. Our autonomous shuttles, named Olli and EZ10, are fully electric, providing a more sustainable form of transportation in the community.

Ready to take a ride?

Autonomous Shuttle Schedule:

Operational Hours: Sunday to Thursday - 11 A.M. to 1 P.M and 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.

Both shuttles operate on the Horseshoe Loop with stops outside Building 16, Building 14, and Building 18/Discovery Square. To take a ride, simply wait at the branded bus stop and enter when the doors open, then take a seat, put on your seat belt, and enjoy the ride.

Please note that shuttle capacities are currently reduced, in line with safety guidelines.

Interacting with self-driving vehicles

  • Autonomous Shuttles have sensors which monitor potential hazards. If you are riding a bike or driving a car, please give the shuttles plenty of space in front and back to ensure that it does not perceive your presence as a hazard.
  • Our shuttles are navigated by a safety steward at all times. This person is able to take over if needed for any reason.
  • Our shuttles are wheelchair and stroller friendly
