KAUST community members and visitors are invited to experience the future of transportation innovation by using Saudi Arabia’s first autonomous shuttles. Our autonomous shuttles, named Olli and EZ10, are fully electric, providing a more sustainable form of transportation in the community.
Operational Hours: Sunday to Thursday - 11 A.M. to 1 P.M and 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
Both shuttles operate on the Horseshoe Loop with stops outside Building 16, Building 14, and Building 18/Discovery Square. To take a ride, simply wait at the branded bus stop and enter when the doors open, then take a seat, put on your seat belt, and enjoy the ride.
Please note that shuttle capacities are currently reduced, in line with safety guidelines.
The KAUST community is a testbed for innovation and development and new technologies like the one are frequently tested in the community, we thank you for participating in this innovative ecosystem.
Please note that the autonomous shuttle is a separate service from the on-demand bus. Learn more about the On-demand Bus.
This project, launched by KAUST Smart, I&ED, and Community Life, helps to further establish KAUST as a leader in the field of sustainable future transport, mobility solutions, and digital innovation. It gives you a "Smart City" experience as well as provides a platform that creates research opportunities for co-development and co-design.
