Join us at the Community Open Day 2024, brought to you by Campus and Community (C&C), an event designed to help KAUST residents learn more about the wide range of services and resources available to them.

Whether you’re new to KAUST or have been a long-time resident, Community Open Day is the perfect opportunity to discover all that the community has to offer. Plus, take part in a fun quiz at the end of the night after visiting various service booths for a chance to win exciting prizes! 

Learn about the different C&C Departments and Services 

Meet representatives from a variety of C&C departments and services, including Facilities Management, Recreation, Retail, Events, Childcare, KAUST Health, and more. Enjoy interactive activities, free samples, giveaways, and special discount vouchers. 

Highlights include: 

• Fire and Security Departments: Hands-on activities where you can put out fires and learn about security robots and drones. 

• Kids Zone: A space-themed zone at the Discovery Cinema lobby, organized by the Childcare team. 

• KAUST Health: Get a free BMI check and tour the on-site ambulance. 

• Food Samples and Live Cooking: Enjoy delicious samples from KAUST restaurants and a live cooking demo by Tamimi. 

• Horticulture Team: Plants for sale, along with children's activities and giveaways. 

• Waste Management Team: A recycling-themed kids' station with a coloring book and glass-painting corner. 

• Pumpkin Patch: Pick up your perfect pumpkin for carving at the Greens produce shop, courtesy of the Retail team.  Learn more

Enjoy Live Entertainment 

Experience a mesmerizing night of live entertainment by the community for the community. There will be music all night by the Ministry of DJs Club, live performances by the Music Club and dance showcases by the Movement Club.

Meet your Neighborhood Artisans 

Talented KAUST community artisans will be showcasing their extraordinary artworks, handmade crafts, delicious food, flowers, souvenirs, designer clothes, accessories, and more.   

Remember to bring a reusable bag and some cash with you to support your favorite neighborhood artisans and their creations.  

Transportation 

We encourage the community to use the bus, bike or walk to the event.  

There will be an additional work haul bus for daily commuters to Jeddah at 8:30 p.m. starting from Tamimi Parking lot.
