Join us for an unforgettable celebration of Saudi culture, art, and cuisine on Monday, September 23, as we bring the Saudi National Day festivities to Thuwal Corniche! This special event brought to you by Campus and Community is the perfect opportunity to celebrate with the local community and experience the rich heritage of Saudi Arabia.

This year's celebration is packed with exciting activities and entertainment, from traditional performances and lively shows to delicious food and family-friendly fun. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Traditional Performances: The event will feature four traditional performances: Ardah, a group sword dance from the Arabian Peninsula; Mezmar, a festive stick dance from the Hejaz region; Khobayti, a Hejazi music style with nice rhythms; and Al-Khatwa, a southern folk dance known for synchronized stomping. Each performance highlights a unique aspect of Saudi Arabia's rich cultural heritage.
Camel Parades: Watch majestic camel parades making their way along the Corniche, creating a stunning display of Saudi heritage throughout the evening.
Flyboard Shows: Experience the thrill of flyboard performers as they soar above the water, performing jaw-dropping aerial tricks multiple times during the event.
Artisan Bazaar & Food Vendors: Stroll through the artisan bazaar for unique crafts and treats and enjoy a delicious array of traditional Saudi dishes and popular street foods from local vendors and food trucks.
Family Fun: Engage in face painting, henna art, and a variety of fun games for all ages, while live DJ sets keep the energy high all evening long.
To make your trip to the Saudi National Day celebration at Thuwal Corniche hassle-free, shuttle buses will be running every 15 mins from the Tamimi Parking Lot at KAUST.
The first bus departs at 4:00 p.m. from KAUST
The last shuttle to Thuwal is at 9:00 p.m.
Shuttles will start back to KAUST from 8:00 p.m.
The last return shuttle to KAUST is at 12:00 a.m.
Please note that a KAUST ID is required to board the bus, and all children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.
