The Campus and Community Transportation Team is pleased to inform you about some exciting changes and additions to the off-campus bus service.
Starting August 1, 2024, all off-campus bookings will be managed through the KAUSTCentral app in partnership with KAUST Smart. This move will make booking the service easier and enhance customer experience.
Please note:
A reservation is required through the KAUST Central app using the Off-Campus Bus Service option available under the Transport feature.
Only three active bookings are allowed per passenger to ensure fairness to everyone who wishes to utilize the service.
You can now book a one-way trip from Jeddah to KAUST after the outward trip has left KAUST. For example, you can reserve a one-way trip from Red Sea Mall to KAUST for the 11:00 PM bus on a Friday, after 4:00 PM on the same day the bus departs from KAUST, even if you didn't take the same bus to Jeddah.

Bookings for July can still be made using the SAPTCO Booking System, but it will be deactivated on August 1 when the new system launches.
After carefully evaluating usage data and community feedback, we're excited to introduce new destinations and increased capacity on popular routes. Here's what's new:
Madinah trips will now be available every Friday.
The Village Mall will be introduced every Friday.
Morning trips to Red Sea Mall & Mall of Arabia will run every Friday.
Evening trips to these locations will remain unchanged.
Please remember that buses depart from the parking lot across from the main Tamimi Supermarket.
