End of year gala and annual KAUST Seeds Awards

08 February, 2024

The Office of Student Life is excited to announce the timeline for the Second Annual KAUST Seeds Awards. These awards are designed to celebrate KAUST students’ achievements outside of their academic program.

The award winners will be announced and celebrated at this year’s gala dinner. Registration for the gala dinner is required and will be open to all graduate students at a later date. Keep alert for future communications.

Awards will be given out in several categories, including:

  • Seeds of outstanding student organization: recognizing the student group that embodies KAUST's spirit of collaboration, driving positive change within the community.
  • Seeds of Student Life Awards: recognizing students for their oustanding contribution to student life through leadership roles, out-of-class experiences and much more!
  • “The Seeds” overall graduate student affairs award: the ultimate accolade, crowning the individual who exemplifies commitment, leadership and service, leaving a lasting legacy on KAUST's student life.

Mark your calendars!

  • March 3: nominations open
  • March 24: nomination deadline
  • May 15: Gala and Seeds awards

Who can win?

Current graduate students and active student organizations.

Who can nominate?

All KAUST staff, students and faculty will be able to nominate graduate students at KAUST.

Why KAUST Seeds?

The four seeds are part of the KAUST logo that projects the fundamental pillars of the University. With their optimistic colors, the seeds represent the four areas of research: food, water, energy and the environment.

We will share nomination forms and further information about the event soon. Stay tuned!
