The Art Club offers classes, workshops, and two studios where members can work with teachers and work on their own projects.

Upcoming activities include classes in oil painting, clay polymer modeling, ceramics, and kids’ art. 

Classes take place at the Island Recreation Club Art Studio and Ceramic Studio.

The following workshops are available starting in April 2024:

• Sundays: Oil Painting Workshop
  Learn classical oil painting techniques from a very experienced art teacher, for beginners, intermediate and advanced painters.

  Learn classical oil painting techniques from a very experienced art teacher, for beginners, intermediate and advanced painters.

• Tuesdays: Ceramics Workshop
  You will learn to throw pots on a pottery wheel, and how to hand-build pinch pots, coil pots and slab pots, and finally glaze your creations, for beginners only

• Wednesdays:Clay Polymer Modelling Workshop.
  You will learn the basic techniques of sculpting with polymer clay to build figures, and animals, carving details, and contours that will bring realism to your models, for beginners, intermediate and advanced modellers.

• Saturdays: Kids’ Art Workshops
  These art & craft classes for K1 – G5 kids. There are two times: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Click on the appropriate link to register.
