Shrek The Musical Poster Competition

Community Life is excited to announce a Shrek The Musical poster competition for creative individuals! The competition will have 3 age categories

  • Child:  5 – 11 years
  • Youth: 12 –17 years
  • Young people: 18-28 years

For each category there will be a top prize of 4 tickets to see the show, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour. The winning artworks will also be displayed in Building 20 during Shrek Week for all to see.

All you need to do to enter is submit your artwork to the Island Recreation Center Reception by the end of February 28. The winners will be announced on March 2, so make sure to get your entries in on time!

The purpose of the poster competition is to promote and generate interest in the upcoming production of Shrek The Musical. The message conveyed through the posters should capture the essence of the show and encourage potential audience members to come and see the production. The posters should convey the fun, whimsical, and comedic elements of the show while also highlighting the heartfelt and meaningful moments that make it so memorable. Overall, the goal of the poster competition is to create eye-catching and captivating visuals that will attract the attention of the target audience and entice them to experience the magic of Shrek The Musical.

 

Rules and guidelines:

  1. Eligibility: The competition is open to all individuals, that fit into the age categories or skill level.

     

  2. Design Criteria: The poster must be original, creative, and capture the spirit of Shrek The Musical. The poster should be visually appealing and engaging.

     

  3. Size and Format: The poster can be designed in both landscape or portrait format and be no larger than A3. It can be created using any medium, including digital or traditional techniques.

     

  4. Deadline: The deadline for submission is the end of the day on February 28.

     

  5. Submission: All entries must be submitted to the Island Recreation Center Reception by the end of February 28, with the artist's name, contact information, and age category.

     

  6. Restrictions: There are no specific restrictions on the use of graphics, typography, or colors, but entries should be appropriate for all ages.

 

 Selection:

The winners will be selected based on the originality, creativity, and overall appeal of their poster by a panel of judges. The winners will be announced on March 2, and all submitted posters will be displayed in Building 20 for Shrek Week.

 

Prizes:

There will be one winner for each age category, and each winner will receive 4 tickets to see Shrek The Musical and a behind-the-scenes tour of the show.

 

Displaying the posters:

Once the competition is over, the winning posters will be displayed in Building 20, on social media, or in other public spaces to showcase the talents of the participants.
