We are pleased to announce that KAUST Health was recently reaccredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).
JCI accreditation and certification is recognized as a global symbol of excellence in the quality of healthcare delivery that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting several evidence-based quality performance standards.
KAUST Health was initially awarded this accreditation in 2016, successfully reaccredited towards the end of 2019 and most recently in November 2022. This accreditation acknowledges that KAUST Health has the required systems, processes, and policies and most importantly that the clinical and administrative teams are following these in their day-to-day duties, ensuring we meet and often exceed these leading standards of quality for patient care. The successful accreditation also indicates that there is a mechanism in place for regular measurement and analysis of performance leading to a program of continuous improvement.
Joint Commission International works with hospitals and other health care organizations, health systems, government ministries, public health agencies, academic institutions and businesses to achieve peak performance in patient care.
The accreditation criteria are comprehensive, and a number of areas were assessed by the survey team. These areas include, but are not limited to:
KAUST Health remains committed to ensuring that our community has access to the best healthcare facilities and services possible.
Kind regards,
Daniel Buttigieg
