KAUST Health and Government Affairs, in association with the Ministry of Health, are pleased to announce that the annual flu vaccination program is available to receive bookings for those wishing to receive a flu vaccine at KAUST Health.
Please read the information below carefully before you book your appointment.
Important to know about the flu vaccine program:
How to book your flu vaccine:
Who is eligible for the flu vaccine:
Anyone resident in the KAUST community is eligible for the vaccine, but it is highly recommended for the following groups:
Please note that this vaccine program is for all KAUST residents and employees/contractors only.
Flu vaccine and children:
Some children aged 6-months through 8-years require two doses of the flu vaccine. The first dose essentially "primes" the immune system, while the second dose provides immune protection. If your child is getting vaccinated for the first time or has only previously received one dose of vaccine, your child should get two doses this season. If your child has previously gotten two doses of vaccine (at any time) s/he only needs one dose this season. The second dose should be given at least 28 days after the first dose. Please book a regular appointment to get your child the second dose if s/he needs one.
