Eid Mubarak! Eid al-Adha is expected to commence on July 9. Please take a moment to review the following updates regarding activities and services which have been adjusted over the Eid holiday period.
Join the festivities in Discovery Square
Enjoy the spirit of Eid in the Grand Mosque and Discovery Square! Discovery Square will be decorated with cheerful decorations celebrating the spirit of Eid al-Adha from June 30.
There will be special Eid al-Adha celebrations on July 9 to 11 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. in Discovery Square. Enjoy giveaways, kids’ corner, face painting stations, bouncy castle, ice cream truck and music.
Giveaways will also be distributed after the Eid prayer at the mosque on July 9.
Eid operating hours and special offers
During Eid, some Community Life facilities and services operate on a slightly amended schedule, including KAUST Health, off-campus buses, restaurants, retail outlets, and more. These changes are outlined below.
Food and retail hours
All food and retail outlets along the University Spine will be closed during Eid, except the Campus Diner. The other food and retail outlets in the community may have adjusted operating hours for Eid, and some are subject to change throughout Eid. The food and retail webpages will be updated with these adjustments and we encourage you to check back often.
Restaurant specials

The clinic is closed from July 9 to July 12. Normal opening hours resume on Wednesday, July 13.

Transportation
There will be no work haul bus and Jeddah medical buses are reduced during Eid. Check the Bus Services page for the schedule. Additional shopping buses will be available during the holiday. Booking can be made here.
Staycation Activities
Community Life offers a variety of activities that will keep you occupied and enriched during the summer months. Offerings include camps and programs for kids, beach events, water sports in the canal, inflatables in the harbor, sunset cruises, and a wide variety of other recreational activities.
The climbing wall will also be opened temporarily from Tuesday, July 5 to Sunday, July 31. It will be closed again due to the renovations in the IRC arena from August 1.
The South beach female only day on Monday, July 11 will be cancelled. It is will be open to all community during the entire Eid holiday.
