We are pleased to announce that several new shopping and dining establishments have recently opened their doors to our community.

Read below an overview of what's new.    

Baitak Bazaar and Arabic Nights Coffee Shop

Baitak has brought an entirely new shopping and dining experience to KAUST. An original bazaar that gathers antique items from different cultures, mixed with a giftshop where you can buy souvenirs for your loved ones back home. With a pool table and typical Arabic seating on pillows, the adjacent coffee shop has a lot of personality. Besides Arabic coffee, they also serve tea, fresh juices, light snacks and local sweets.

Baitak is located in the Harbor Walk area.

Operating hours are from 11:00 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. Sunday thorough Thursday, and 4:30 P.M.  to 10:30 P.M. on Fridays.

Dr. Saud Pharmacy

  An updated Dr. Saud pharmacy has opened in a new location in Discovery Square, offering a wider range of products and focusing on both health and beauty. You can now purchase medicine, cosmetics, baby care items and sunglasses here.  

Lion's Share                

This healthy food restaurant is located on the Spine. Lion's Share is a fit and healthy diet restaurant dedicated to nutrition. It responds to the need of community members to manage their eating habits. Lion's Share offers planned menus following nutrition guidelines of a dietitian, in addition to providing weekly and monthly meal plans with home delivery. Lion's Share will be available on Hungry Campus shortly.

Operating hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.

Three more establishments are opening shortly; Great China Wall and Cuisine Halwani in Discovery Square, and Steak Seven in the Racquet Club.
