Get Involved with DIY face masks

09 April, 2020

KAUST President, Tony Chan issued a video where he discussed and demonstrated the use of face masks.

In addition to face masks being delivered to all houses in the KAUST community, we are also starting a community initiative to make your own face masks.  President Chan's video and instructions for making your own fabric face mask can be found on the KAUST Health website.

The KAUST community Sewing Club has already made some prototypes (one of which was used in President Chan's video) and have provided some fabrics, elastic and cotton thread.  They also have some sewing machines that they are willing to lend to community members who wish to make masks but do not have their own sewing machine.

If you would like to make your own face mask or would like to be part of a group making face masks for the community, please e-mail getengaged@kaust.edu.sa.
