In celebration of World Environment Day and to support sustainable practices in the community, we are pleased to announce that plastic checkout bags will no longer be available at KAUST Tamimi Markets and Oasis Minimarket, starting July 1.
KAUST has also recently co-signed a global statement on the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development which indicates our commitment to promote sustainable practices in our community, Saudi Arabia, and around the world.
Are you concerned because you don’t have reusable bags, or that you might not have enough? Don’t worry, we’re hosting a reusable bag giveaway and awareness campaign!
The deadline to register for free bags has been extended. Register before July 3 to receive your own reusable bags delivered to your home!
Want to make an even larger positive impact? If you are already supporting sustainability by using your own reusable bags for shopping, you can give away these free bags to KAUST service providers.
