Drop by and join us to celebrate International Women's Day. This year, the theme is Inspire Inclusion. Let’s forge a better world when we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion. 

We have organized live music, refreshments and some small gifts for you. See you at 12:00 p.m. in front of the Campus Library.   

Panel Discussion on Inspire Inclusion 

Let's take time on this International Women's Day to reflect on how we can promote inclusion in our communities and workplaces. Join us for a casual panel discussion and Q&A session. 

Panelists 

Vice Provost for Faculty & Academic Affairs   

Suzana Nunes is the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs and Professor of Chemical and Environmental Science and Engineering at KAUST. She is the laureate of the 2023 L'Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science International Award for Africa and the Arab States.  

Aurelie Arsouze   

Interim Director, Strategic Communication & Marketing, GBC 

Aurelie Arsouze is an experienced communications and marketing specialist with over 15 years of experience. She oversees strategic communications and marketing at KAUST's Global Branding and Communications team and has worked at Jurlique and the University of New South Wales, Australia.   

Maggie Johnson  

Assistant Professor, Marine Science  

Maggie Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Marine Science at KAUST who studies the impacts of environmental change on coral reef ecosystems. Her research involves evaluating and monitoring coral reefs, exploring the effects of environmental variability on primary producers, and determining the implications of local and global environmental change. She primarily focuses on calcifying algae, using them as a model to identify and monitor coral reef ecosystem responses in an era of rapid environmental change. 

Sara Al Otaibi  

Lead, Specialized Enrichment Development Programs, SNA 

Sara Al Otaibi is the Specialized Enrichment Development Programs Lead at KAUST. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sara is actively involved in giving back to her community. She serves on the board of directors of the ICF Saudi Chapter and empowers MENA youth by equipping them with essential skills like open communication, collaboration, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence.
