An Evening with Extreme E at KAUST

Join us for an evening with the pioneering electric off-road racing series, Extreme E, ahead of their Season 4 opening race in Jeddah, at the Discovery Square on Wednesday, February 14 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. 

This is the first time since the series launched that Extreme E will race in Jeddah, home to the country’s Formula One races since 2021. The focus of Extreme E’s legacy initiative at the Desert X Prix is coral restoration. The initiative is led by Carlos Duarte, Head of Extreme E’s Scientific Committee and Professor of Marine Science at KAUST), as well as collaborating with Ocean Revive and AEON Collective. 

Enjoy a talk from Professor Carlos Duarte of KAUST and Extreme E’s Science Committee as he explores the dynamic intersection of environmental science and motorsports, plus an interactive Q&A session with Extreme E drivers.

5:30 to 5:45 p.m. | Extreme E Members & Drivers arrive at KAUST 

6:00 to 6:10 p.m. | Opening Remarks by Ali Russell, Managing Director of Extreme E 

6:10 to 6:25 p.m. | Talk by Dr. Carlos Duarte, Head of Extreme E’s Scientific Committee and    

                                  Professor of Marine Science at KAUST 

6:25 to 6:50 p.m. | Q&A with Extreme E Drivers
