This year’s parade will start at 5:15 p.m. from the TKS Basketball Court and move to the Safaa Stadium.

All KAUST community members, faculty, staff, students, and friends, are invited to the TKS Basketball Court on Thursday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. for the Parade on Nations 2023. Citizens from all over the world will participate in the annual parade.

Wear your country colors, cultural dress or just come as you are on the day.

The destination this year is the Safaa Stadium, where we will have the Circle of Nations and community performances. Set up your picnic and visit the country stalls to experience their culture and sample their delicacies.

The new venue gives us space to add some food truck options from varied international cuisines. So, if the samples have not filled you up, or if you fancy a full meal, there will be options available. Almost all of the food trucks are first time appearances at KAUST events.

Water refill stations will be available, please bring your re-usable bottles.

• 5:00 p.m. | Meet at the TKS Basketball Court and rally around your country's flag
• 5:15 p.m. | Parade to Safaa Stadium, led by the All-Star Marching Band
• 5:45 p.m. | Picnic, enjoy the music by Ministry of Disc Jockeys, and visit the many nations represented by community volunteers in the Circle of Nations
• 6:00 p.m. | Saudi National Anthem
• 6:05 p.m. | Cultural Performances
• 6:25 p.m. | Welcome Address by President Tony F. Chan
• 6:28 p.m. | Prayer Break
• 6:50 p.m. | Cultural Performances
• 7:58 p.m. | Prayer Break
• 8:20 p.m. | Cultural Performances
• 9:10 p.m. | Entertainment by the Agoraphonics and Ministry of DJs

Getting there:

There will be parking available at the stadium and shuttle buses will also run every 10 mins from:

• Tamimi to The KAUST School | 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Tamimi to Safaa Stadium | 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Stadium to Tamimi | 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

On-demand buses will also start earlier at 4:00 p.m. and will be available until 1:00 a.m.

Parade Route and Road Closure

The Parade will move along the Rihan Lane and Oasis Lane to the Safaa Stadium.  All vehicle access to these roads will be closed from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
