Day 1: Sunday, January 8, 2023 

  • WORKSHOP | Security of Power Grid Edge Devices (Day 1)
  • Building 9, Lecture Hall 2322, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    Learn more about the threat of load-altering attacks (LAAs) in power grids and
    explore their future development – for WEP2023 students only.

     

  • COURSE | Machine Learning for Beginners Group A (1/4)
  • Virtual, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    The Machine learning (ML) field connects computer science and statistics and allows
    the computers to use collected data or past experience to solve unseen problems. It's
    a must-have skill for every analyst and data scientist, and an important skill for
    anyone who wants to draw conclusions and make scientific suggestions based on
    collected raw data – for WEP2023 students only.

     

  • COURSE | Machine Learning for Intermediate Group A (1/4)
  • Virtual, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    Students will learn how to write and train Machine Learning models that can help in
    their field of study– for WEP2023 students only.

     

  • WORKSHOP | Reaching the Edge Through Improvisation (Day 1)
  • Building 19, Level 3, Halls 1 & 2.
    Group A: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Group B: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
    Get armed with improv tools to become bolder in your personal and professional life!
    for WEP2023 students only.

     

  • WORKSHOP | Entrepreneurship For All (Day 1)
  • Building 19, Halls 1 & 2, 1:00 p.m. - 15:00 p.m.
    Be innovative and build an entrepreneurial mindset, take initiative, adapt to changes,
    learn from failure, develop self-awareness, and be comfortable with risks! – for
    WEP2023 students only.

     

  • OPENING NIGHT | The New Era of Extreme Bionics | Keynote from Hugh Herr
  • and Live performance from VR artist Colleen Flanigan
    Building 20 Auditorium, join in person or watch online, 5:00 p.m.- 6.45 p.m.
    Celebrate the opening of WEP 2023 with a virtual keynote lecture from the man TIME
    Magazine calls ‘The Leader of the Bionic Age’, Hugh Herr and a live performance by
    socio-ecological artist Colleen Flanigan. Followed by a Reception and Beyond Arts
    Hub opening at the University Library.

 

Beyond Arts Hub | The Journey of Transformation.
