The FCSC will be delivering the evidence-based PEERS® program developed by UCLA. The program aims to support middle school children to develop social skills that ensure successful friendships and positive relationships with peers.
Program: PEERS®
Audience: For parents who would like their children to further develop their social skills. The program is aimed at young people in grades 5 through to 9.
Facilitators: Dr. Paul O’Callaghan and Huda Althahir
Time and Venue: Sessions will start on February 27. There will be 1 session per week for children/young people to attend and 1 session per week for parents to attend. Sessions for children/young people will take place on a Tuesday between 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sessions for parents will take place on a Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. (sessions with parents will take place on zoom). The venue for the group sessions will be room K115 at the FCSC. Planned school holidays will be factored in to delivering this program.
Places and Total Cost: 1000 SAR per family for 10 sessions.
