Safaa Golf Club is the most environmentally-balanced golf course in Saudi Arabia

Safaa Golf Club is committed to maintaining a physical, environmental, and social space to support a sustainable future at KAUST. These initiatives include enhancing the playing environment, fostering its biodiversity, developing a sustainable ecosystem, and more.

Safaa Golf Club joined the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf (GEO) in 2016. Since then, Safaa Golf Club has established itself as the most environmentally-balanced golf course in Saudi Arabia and a leading example of golf course sustainability, a keystone of Golf Saudi's vision. GEO certification assesses water, energy consumption, and ecosystem impact. Through adherence to best practices, Safaa Golf Club hopes to be one of only 400 courses from nearly 4,000 GEO courses to attain certified status in Q2 or Q3 in 2022.
