KAUST aspires to be a destination for education and research in science and technology. By inspiring discoveries to address global challenges, KAUST aims at being a beacon of knowledge that bridges people and cultures for the betterment of humanity. These goals cannot be reached without a strong contribution from women.
We are inviting you to the KAUST Workshop for Women in Science, Engineering and Research (WISER), organized on 8-9 March 2022. This hybrid event will be held on Zoom and at KAUST, in Saudi Arabia.
The workshop will include talks by renowned scientists and engineers about their personal journeys, struggles, and life-changing approaches. Experts in gender equity will also share their recent discoveries. Practical sessions about how to address gender issues, guidelines to successful interviews, leadership and time management techniques will be proposed. If you want to share your experience, your opinion, your ideas, we are organizing a short video competition. Thrilling gifts and social media coverage for the selected videos!
Short Video Competition
Women in science, engineering, and research are successful.
Women in science, engineering, and research are too few.
Women are needed in science, in engineering, and in research.
If you have something to say, or something to show, make a video and participate in the WISER 2022 Short Video Competition. The submission deadline is March 1, 2022.
Your video should have a duration between 10 s and 60 s. It will be evaluated based on its meaning, originality, impact, and creativity. This competition is open to everyone. We guarantee no discrimination on age, sex, gender, ethnicity, or nationality. Selected videos will be broadcasted during WISER 2022 and on KAUST social media. Their authors will be recognized, except if they prefer to remain anonymous, and will win a gift card worth $250.
