We are pleased to announce that we'll soon be offering new establishments for your shopping and dining experience.
In the next few months, several new places around KAUST will be opening or undergoing enhancements. Read below an overview of what's new and coming soon.
An improved Ya Halla has recently reopened its doors in Discovery Square. New dishes have been added to the menu, while your old-time favorites are still available as well. Ya Hala completed its renovation and remodeling project with an enhancement to the shop, including adding indoor dining tables that can accommodate up to 14 customers.

A Jeddah classic, Cuisine Halwani, is in full preparation to open soon on the corner of Discovery Square. They will offer our community members a unique dining experience and they are definitely worth the wait!
Baitak is bringing an entirely new shopping and dining experience to KAUST. An original bazaar that gathers antique items from different cultures, mixed with a giftshop where you can buy souvenirs for your loved ones back home. With its typical Arabic seating on pillows, the adjacent coffee shop has a lot of personality. Besides Arabic coffee, they'll also serve tea and fresh juices.
Baitak will open soon in the Harbor Walk area.
Pure restaurant at the Island Recreation Center will be closed for renovation this summer. We are upgrading the infrastructure to offer community members a beautiful year-round sunset dining experience, including a fully airconditioned indoor space.
An updated Dr. Saud pharmacy will soon open in a new location in Discovery Square and focuses on both health and beauty. You'll be able to purchase medicine, cosmetics, baby care items and sunglasses here.
This healthy food restaurant will be located on the Spine. Lion's Share is a fit and healthy diet restaurant dedicated to nutrition. It responds to the need of community members to manage their eating habits. Lion's Share offers planned menus following nutrition guidelines of a dietitian, in addition to providing weekly and monthly meal plans with home delivery.
Another original restaurant will open its doors in Discovery Square. Great China Wall serves authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine, offering a wide variety of traditional and contemporary dishes. They'll have a buffet with something for everyone's taste. Bringing our community exotic flavors from the East, this cuisine remains firmly classic in the hands of Chinese specialty chefs.
Banaweer is expanding to serve our community even better with a new facility. A bicycle showroom in the Souq area will offer bikes, spare parts and accessories. The existing branch near the petrol station will continue as a workshop for reparations.
Steak Seven is an International steak and barbeque restaurant coming soon to the Racquet Club. The British chef will offer you an extensive menu selection with meat of the highest quality. Steak Seven will also have an outdoor dining area for you to enjoy.
