COVID-19 Antibody Testing Update

26 November, 2020

Due to demand and the sustained interest from the community, additional dates and appointment availability have been added through to December 16.

To lock in a time that is most convenient for you, please book now!

    • December 6 to December 16, 5:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • December 12, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Why participate in the program?

It is the first time that KAUST is offering antibody testing for the community. The testing will enable individuals to identify whether they have previously been exposed to the COVID-19 virus by determining if antibodies are present in their system. It will also help to understand the recent levels of exposure and prevalence of the virus in KAUST, which may have been undetected through asymptomatic positives. While PCR testing only detects an active COVID-19 infection, antibody testing will look back at a longer history. There is no quarantine if you are positive for antibodies.

This is a voluntary program although everyone is encouraged to participate as part of Keeping KAUST Safe!

The deadline for booking your appointment is 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5.

For more details about the program, how to make a booking and FAQs, please visit the COVID-19 Antibody Testing page on the KAUST Health website.

We appreciate your support for this program and cooperation in Keeping KAUST Safe.

Kind regards,
