It's time to put the school books and work away for a week.  Many of our community members will be spending Eid al-Fitr at KAUST this year.  As we are not able to get together in a physical way, we will be offering a different Eid Staycation on the Virtual Community Hub - lots of themed ideas, activities, challenges and competitions to enjoy during the week.

  • Pool Party - Sunday, May 24
  • Day on the Greens - Monday, May 25
  • KAUST Sports Day - Tuesday, May 26
  • KAUST Regatta - Wednesday, May 27
  • Beach Party - Thursday, May 28
  • Movie Day - Friday, May 29
Visit the Virtual Community Hub every day to see the plan for the day and enter the challenges and competitions!

18 KAUST Maskateers have been busy with their sewing machines over the past few weeks and have already passed the 1000 mark of masks made for our community!  Thanks to all of them.. and special thanks to Rabab Wereda for not only being a mask-making machine herself, but also co-ordinating the materials needed to keep our Maskateers stocked and busy...  have a look at some photos of them in action...

Zakat.pngDonating to charities during this Ramadan has been a little different.  In past years, KAUST has given Zakat Al-Fitr and other charitable donations to our neighbors in Thuwal.  This year, in order that you can still donate to charity, Government Affairs have arranged some alternatives:
  • Donate Zakat Al-Fitr to the 'Thuwal Charitable Society' through their bank account.

To get more details for donating, visit The Lens and don't forget - if you are visiting HSC to make your donation, to follow all social distancing regulations, wear a face mask and carry hand sanitizer.

Stay active with KAUST recreation team and community members!
