Discovery Cinema brings you a great mix of movies each month. The Discovery Community Theatre offers community events and activities, and can also be hired for private functions.

Grab your popcorn, sit back and relax… the movies have come to KAUST. Showing the latest Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic Movies, Discovery Cinema is a state-of-the-art, Dolby surround sound multimedia venue with seating for 200.

Cinema Reminders

A ticket must be purchased to enter the Cinema to watch a movie.
Tickets sell for SAR 10.00 (VAT Inclusive). Free admission for children aged 2 and below.
Cinema doors will close 10 minutes after the movie starts.
Admittance to movies is based strictly on the age rating for that movie – NO EXCEPTIONS. Please refer to signs in the Cinema for more information.
Video recording or photography is NOT permitted in the cinema.
All mobile devices must be switched OFF during the movie.

Outdoor Cinema

Experience the magic of the movies outside under the stars! For selected dates, we are providing the ultimate outdoor cinema experience at the Al Marsa Amphitheatre, with the following films projected onto a massive screen.

Chairs and floor-style seating are provided or you can feel free to bring a camping chair or beach lounger from home. Snacks, drinks, and ice cream are also available to purchase, so you can truly enjoy your cinematic experience.

Tables, Chairs and Carpets available on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. Tickets are priced at SAR 10.00 for individual seats and SAR 40.00 per Table (Good for 4). Prices are inclusive of VAT.

Reservations are no longer needed for the outdoor Cinema. Just make your way to the venue and tickets will be available on entry. Thank you and enjoy the movie!
