Ride into the future on Saudi’s first autonomous shuttles

KAUST community members and visitors are invited to experience the future of transportation innovation by using Saudi Arabia's first autonomous shuttles. Our fully electric autonomous shuttles, Olli and EZ10, provide a more sustainable form of transportation to the KAUST community.

Take a ride!

Both shuttles currently operate on the Horseshoe Loop with stops outside Building 16, Building 14 and Building 18/Discovery Square. To take a ride, simply wait at the branded bus stop and enter when the doors open, then take a seat, put on your seat belt, and enjoy the ride.

Interacting with self-driving vehicles

  • Autonomous Shuttles have sensors which monitor potential hazards. If you are riding a bike or driving a car, please give the shuttles enough space in the front and the rear, to ensure that the shuttle does not perceive your presence as a hazard.
  • Our shuttles operated with a safety steward on board at all times. This person is able to take control of the shuttle if needed.
  • Our shuttles are wheelchair and stroller friendly.
