KAUST Bike Week ‘Bike for Climate’

Let’s ride together from November 21-26 for a sustainable future on KAUST Bike Week ‘Bike for Climate’

Nov 21, 2021 - Nov 26, 2021        Multiple Locations

Road transportation, such as cars, motorcycles, and buses, accounts for 9.5% of global greenhouse gases emissions. Biking is a fun, clean, and healthy mode of transportation that helps you burn some calories instead of fossil fuels!

Bikes are also affordable and health-promoting, making them one of the best and most inclusive means of transportation to help communities address global emissions, and several other UN Sustainable Development Goals.

So, get your tires ready to ‘Bike for Climate’ and have a week full of activities that we hope will inspire you to cycle more!

Highlights of the week

On November 21, start your Bike Week with a Mountain Bike Challenge and a Sunset Road Bike Ride.

Then, on November 24, don’t miss your chance to register for the Spin Class with DJ at the Beacon.

If you would like to know some tips and tricks about bike maintenance, join the DIY Bike Maintenance Workshop on November 25 at the Harbor “I Love KAUST” point.

And finally, on November 26, if you are an avid cyclist, don’t lose the opportunity to register for the Bike Road Race, and join us for the grand finale event, with the Family Bike Ride and the Closing Ceremony.
