Now that the KAUST curfew has been lifted, we would like to bring our community together with a Car Parade.
Join us in celebrating Eid Al-Fitr and giving a huge KAUST thank you to all the people who are working tirelessly to continue to keep KAUST safe and keep our services running during this unprecedented period.
When: Saturday, May 30, 2020
Parade Time: 5.00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. (registered cars gather at the Stadium Parking at 4.00 P.M.)
Parade Route: The parade will follow a specific route – view the map
Everyone is welcome to get involved!
Car entries: The number of cars/golf carts in the parade will be limited to 50. If you would like to decorate your vehicle and take part in the parade, please complete this form (only one car per household)
In addition to cars from the community, there will be vehicles from many of our on-campus service providers and business partners who play a critical role throughout the year, and who have been an enormous support for us during the crisis period.
For safety, mopeds, bicycles, or other vehicles will not be permitted.
Spectators: For the rest of the community, come outside your houses (or go to your nearest participating street corner), and make as much noise as you can as the parade goes by!
Remember: Please stay in your family group and follow all social distancing regulations as per the KEEP KAUST Safe guidelines. Parents, please also remember to be responsible for the safety of your young children around the vehicles.
I am looking forward to celebrating with you all!
