    About Us

The Maker Space is a room of about 220 sqm located in building 24 on the KAUST campus. It is filled with tools and gadgets for people to play with technology and to tinker on their projects. However, it is not only a room, but also a growing community of people that value the Do-It-Yourself way of life.

In workshops and regular meet-ups we aim to get people together that like to play with technology and tinker on DIY projects. We encourage the community to come and…

    • play
    • learn
    • tinker
    • innovate and
    • make friends

    How to Join?

There are several ways to get involved with the maker space:

    • Join us at our weekly meetings to brainstorm and build your private project at the maker space.
    • Sign up for a workshop, course, contest or voluntary activity:
We announce our activities on our mailing list and facebook page.
    • Host your own interest group at the maker space: We are happy to help organizing regular focus groups. Contact us if you have a great idea that fits the maker space. Want to start a robotics group, a digital-art group, a upcycling club - contact us.

    How to Find the Space?

Once you entered building 24, take a right, then a left, pass by coffee bean and follow the long corridor until you see the maker space on your right.
