Kingdom Equestrians Club is striving to develop the horse riding skills of KAUST community. Kingdom Equestrians Club wants to encourage participation in the healthy out-of-door sports offered in the field of horse activities.

Membership is open to the KAUST community.

    Membership Dues:
    SAR100/- deposit payable to Alison Rankin prior to each lesson. The payment is credited towards your lesson cost, or forfeited if you do not attend.

  • Objectives of the Club

    • Educate adults and children in horsemanship appreciation and to help riders of all ages and all capabilities develop their skills and enjoy riding.
    • Encourage participation in the healthy out-of-doors sports offered in the field of horse activities.
    • Provide for disabled riders.
    • Bridge the gap between KAUST and the outside community by a common interest in horses.
    • Arrange weekly horse riding activities at Trio Ranch.

    Who are eligible for membership?

    • Any resident of KAUST Community.
    • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (over 21).
    • There is a maximum weight allowance of 85kg.

    Please Note: everyone rides at their own risk and are responsible for their own insurance.

    Membership Information

    1. Email to join the Club (there is no joining fee, but it means you will receive any notices of changes to timings etc).
    2. Send an email to Alison when you wish to ride and she will send you a reservation form. Complete the form and send it back at least two days in advance.
    3. Pay the lesson deposit of SAR100/- to Alison at least two days in advance.
    4. There is a free bus provided which leaves every Friday from Tamimi Bus Station. If you wish to ride the free Bus, register on the Doodle Poll (Alison will send you the link) – Please note that timings change throughout the year, so you will need to check the departure times (the journey takes just over an hour).
    5. You may take your own car, directions are available on google maps. Please advise Alison if you wish to do so, so that she can notify gate security at the Ranch.
    6. Lesson costs are currently SAR120/- for half an hour (group minimum 3 people).
    7. Pony rides are SAR70/- for half an hour (children under 7 years).
